MyFootballClub is a unique internet venture that uses the principle of crowdsourcing and crowdfunding to run a real football club.
Rather than being owned by millionaires with varying interest in the fortunes of a club, Ebbsfleet United is owned by thousands of members, who each contribute small amounts annually, and vote on key management decisions like the budget, transfer deals, kit supplier contracts, kit design, election of Club officials, and even approve the Manager's contract!
This model brings a unique dialogue between the club and the community, with local fans sharing knowledge about the club, and global members contributing their expertise and skills that would otherwise cost the club. Members are able to bring fresh ideas, which are discussed and voted on as a community, for action by the Club

Being a member
MyFootballClub isn't like playing FIFA Soccer, Championship Manager or Hattrick. There's no quick button to buy and sell players, no fast upgrade for the stadium, and certainly no cheat codes!
Every decision we make could affect the fortunes of the club, the players and the staff. As responsible owners, we also have to scrutinise the information that comes to us, challenge the Board and the Club management and make the decision that we feel is best for the club.
Debates are long and often heated, and it's sometimes hard to remember that we're trying to make a collective decision, but there’s nothing like matchday experience as a MyFC owner, whether you’re at the game or following at home. That's when we really come together as a community.
- At the ground, you’ll meet other MyFC members, many of whom have travelled to Stonebridge Road from around the UK, Europe, even the World! It’s thrilling to know that the contribution you made put those players on the pitch and every goal feels like you scored it!
- At home, whilst listening to the radio commentary, you can discuss the progress of the game with your fellow members in the chatroom or the forum.
- Out and about there’s a free text message service, where your fellow members send updates and goal alerts from the ground.
