MyFootballClub was formed just over 4 years ago when a group of football fans came together to invest in Ebbsfleet United. Now the organisation is very different to how it was set up. Gone are the days of somebody running the Society as a full time paid job, also the idea of 'Pick The Team' is history. In the way Non League Clubs up and down the country rely on volunteers to operate, then MyFootballClub is just the same.
Members with different skills from all areas are asked to help to promote the society and run the society. We are about as far from the wealth and operation of Premier League clubs as it is possible to get. No £100,000 a week players here, more likely to be travelling on a coach to play for the Fleet on a Tuesday night then up for work the following day injured or not. These are working footballers, just like the man in the street. It’s all about hard work and long hours at the non-league level and MyFC is no different. Every bit of publicity, be it online or in press or magazines has to be hard won. In the early days, we were "News" and that led to coverage on TV in the likes of Russia, Brazil and France.

In football, there are often times when commentators speak of pivotal moments. Perhaps a turning point in a match, or a new signing, a change of management, or even ownership.
Some say that this is a pivotal moment in the history of Ebbsfleet United. 1800 MyFootballClub members are due to renew. What if they don't? What if it's no longer for them? What if they've given up on the dream, or if their dreams don't match the reality?
The history of every football club is littered with such moments, and Ebbsfleet United is no different. In football, every moment is a pivotal moment. And right now, we are a part of it.

I would like to start off by thanking the board for electing me as chair, and more importantly to thank Keith Handley for all of his work for the Society over the last eighteen months. Working with Keith has always been a pleasure, and I hope that he can now find a little bit of time to relax and enjoy himself. Obviously he's still going to be heavily involved with Society business .

The new season in the Blue Square Bet South league is now well under way and Ebbsfleet United have made a promising start. They are in 5th place just inside the play off positions with the away record being particularly impressive being unbeaten on the road. They are also still in the F.A.Cup, just 2 wins away from a possible game against a football league team.
