Ebbsfleet United (known as “The Fleet”) are based in Northfleet , Nr Gravesend in Kent, and play in the Blue Square Bet South League, in the 6th tier of English football. The Club have a long history, going back to 1890, when Northfleet United were formed. Gravesend United were formed in 1893, and the two clubs merged after World War II as Gravesend and Northfleet F.C. in 1946
In May 2007, taking advantage of the regeneration of the Ebbsfleet Valley and the new Eurostar Station, the club was renamed Ebbsfleet United.
Ebbsfleet were taken over by MyFootballClub on the 19th February 2008 making it the first club in English football history to come under the ‘ownership’ of a web based community.
The club has played at Stonebridge Road, former home of Northfleet United, since 1946.
